MBA/MPA - Masters in Business and Public Administration with an Emphasis in Human Resources Management from National University in San Diego, California.

B.S. - Bacholars Degree in Speech Communications with Minors in American History and Military Science from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I am the POST Coordinator in charge of all Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) classes.  I am in charge of all POST Programs offered at IVC.  I am also in charge of all Administration of Justice (AJ) Programs and Correctional Science (CSI) Programs.  My office is in Room 210, which is accessed through our front office located in Room 209.  My office telephone number is: (760) 355-6279.

I came to IVC after a 20 year career with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.  I worked in the areas of: Detentions, Patrol, Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS), Traffic Enforcement, Area Investigations (Detectives), Sexual Assault Investigations, Elder Abuse Investigations and Fraud/Financial Crimes Investigations.  I have also been a Jail Supervisor and Watchcommander, Patrol Supervisor and Watchcommander, Detective Sergeant, Administrative Sergeant, Training Officer and Training Sergeant, Tactical Team Commander, Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Instructor, Certified Accident Reconstructionist, and Regional Law Enforcement Academy Instructor and Adjunct Instructor at Miramar College.

Prior to joining the Sheriff's Department I was in the United States Marine Corps.  I attended training at the Perris Island Recruit Training Center in South Carolina.  I was meritoriously promoted to Corporal and then Sergeant within two years.  I was attending college on my own time at Northern Virginia Community College and was selected for an Officer Commissioning Program.  I transferred to Marquette University where I completed my Bacholars Degree.  I completed Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an Officer in the Marine Corps.  I have attended the Marine Corps Institute  for the Amphibious Warfare College and the Command and Staff College.  While serving as a Tactics Officer I was selected to complete my Masters Degree while on active duty.

I was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Arlington, Virginia.  I have three grown sons and three granddaughters.
