Attention Spring 2018 Online Students:  Class starts on February 12 and runs to June 8, 2018

There is an Orientation Meeting for Hist 120 and 121 Online classes on the Imperial Valley College Campus in Room 2131 on February 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m.  This orientation is not mandatory, but attending the Orientation is the first step to your successful completion of this course.

Please log into Canvas as soon as possible on February 12 to get started on the class. Once you log into Canvas, click on the Course Shell for "Spring 2018, History 120 CRN 25077 OR History 121 CRN 20754 to see the course.  On the home page, there is a link: "Welcome to the Class - Start Here"  Click this link to read instructions for how to proceed in the class. Then click on Modules to read the Course Syllabus, then get started with Module 1.

Module 1 is due February 20 and if you don't complete Module 1 by the deadline, you will be dropped from the class as a No ShowContact your instructor by email if you are having any problems so they can be resolved immediately. I don't want you to get frustrated.

If you are trying to crash the class, the ONLY way you can crash once school starts is to come to the Orientation. This includes if you are on the waitlist. I will take students from the waitlist first if there are any openings.  I will not take any students over the class cap of 35.

If it is before classes start, the only way to get in is to get on the waitlist. Then if students drop before the start of class, you will get an email from the college giving you 24 hours to register for the course.  If you don't register in the 24 hour time period, you lose your chance and it goes to the next student on the Wait list.  If you are not on the wait list, you probably won't be able to get into the class.  But you can try and email me after February 12 to see if any openings become available. The last day to add is February 24.

You can log in to Canvas on February 12 to check out the class and see if it is the right fit for you.  If not, please drop yourself through Webstar immediately so another student has a chance to add the class.

See you Online.
